International Service Project in Mexico
October 18 the Los Alamitos/Seal Beach Club joined with the Lakewood Club and the Glendale Sunrise Club for a three day cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. During the day in port, the clubs went out to Estado 29 Orphanage for some service projects. Doors needed painting. The clubs also brought a collection of sporting equipment and books in Spanish for the children to read. The club also collected money to pay for the replacement of an emergency exit from the dining area. On the way back to the ship, the clubs stopped at a local winery to taste some of the local wines and help the local economy with their purchases. .
